Guided Tours
Learn more about Lincoln Center’s iconic landmarks—including the Revson Fountain, the newly transformed Alice Tully Hall, and the Metropolitan Opera House—which have been showcased on Sex and the City and in movies like Black Swan, Moonstruck, and Ghostbusters.
Go behind the scenes at venues where a spectacular range of artists have performed, including Luciano Pavarotti, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Leonard Bernstein, Renée Fleming, and Bruce Springsteen.
Each tour is unique, and you never know what might happen. You might sit in on a rehearsal, walk out onto a stage, or meet a star. Whether you’re just visiting New York City and want a glimpse of performing arts history, or you’re a Lincoln Center regular who wants to see your favorite venues from a new perspective, a guided tour will bring you closer to the world’s premier performing arts center.
One of New York’s great collections of modern art and architecture isn’t in a museum, it’s at Lincoln Center, where paintings, sculpture, limited-edition prints, posters, and buildings by the leading artists and architects of this and the last century can be found outside and inside the theaters on our world-famous 16-acre campus.
The new Art and Architecture tour takes an especially close look at the grand and adventurous architecture and beautiful artwork that graces the Lincoln Center campus, including pieces by Henry Moore, Jasper Johns, Lee Bontecou, and Richard Lippold.
Explore Lincoln Center’s art collection beyond the tour with the celebrated Vera List Art Project commissions. These commissions are primarily limited-edition prints as well as posters for sale to the public. A selection of prints is on view in the art gallery in Avery Fisher Hall's lower lobby.
